Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Six facts are enough: your gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term length. That's all we need to show you carrier rates. Your name, address, and detailed health information only come up if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They're what each carrier quotes for the health class you said you're in. Once you apply, the carrier looks at your complete health history and may confirm, improve, or adjust that class—which adjusts your rate. These quotes are estimates for information only, not a guarantee of approval or any particular price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter your name, and the application is built from the exact quote you picked. Then you move into a secure application run by the carriers, where you can stop and come back anytime, and sign your name electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount, and your specific health answers. Many carriers can approve you on the spot without an exam if you meet their criteria. Every quote you see will tell you whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that carrier's product.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that covers the years when your death would cause financial harm—while there's a mortgage, while children need support, while business debt exists. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool never asks for your email or phone to show you rates. We don't sell or share information about you. Our site measurement works without cookies. Read the privacy page for the full list of what we collect and what third parties do.
